Pigface Bascinet
The Pigface Bascinet became popular during the late 13th century; widely replacing the Great Helm because of its close fit styling. Towards the late 14th century the long snouted appearance had earned it the English nickname Hounskull, or Pig-faced Bascinet. Hand-crafted from 18-gauge steel and featuring brass accents, this piece can be worn or used as decoration. No lining or suspension is provided, this allows for individual customizing. |
