Japanese & Samurai Swords:

Samurai swords were made in China as early as 2000 B.C., but real advancements did not occur until Japanese sword smiths began forging swords in 700 A.D. One of the smiths responsible for vastly improving Japanese sword design was Amakuni. He was the first to make Japanese swords with a curved blade. This allowed the Samurai sword to be drawn faster and gave the Japanese swords a more effective cutting angle. The Armory offers a wide range of Japanese and Samurai swords that fit any need and budget. Most all of our Samurai swords have functional blades and are perfect for both the Japanese sword collector and practitioner.
